The Chailey Commons Society is open to anyone who enjoys the commons, or who is concerned that this area of heathland should be properly conserved and protected.

Horse Riders Group
If you ride on the commons why not join our Horse Riders Group. They have regular meetings and hold working parties on the commons to maintain paths and bridges.

Our activities include:
Ecological surveys of the biodiversity of the habitat.
Working parties to conserve or clean up the commons.
Indoor meetings during winter with talks on natural or local history subjects.
Guided walks looking at various aspects of the ecology
Visits to other places of ecological interest.
Annual report on the Society’s activities and results of the ecological survey.
Newsletters during the year.
